Bio-Bus is the UK's first bus powered entirely by human faeces and food waste. The bus, which entered service in Bristol in 2014 is powered by biomethane. The gas is made from human sewage and food waste which is processed at a plant in Avonmouth which is run by GENeco a subsidiary of Wessex Water.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.geneco.uk.com/Biobug/biobus.aspx )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-30115137 )〕 It has 40 seats and is operated by First Bristol. Originally the bus served a route between Bristol Airport and Bath,〔 however in March 2015, while Bristol is European Green Capital, the bus began operating in Bristol city centre on the number two route.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=https://www.bristol2015.co.uk/news/bristols-poo-bus-prepares-make-splash/ )〕 Similar buses have operated in Oslo. When compared with the diesel engines normally used to power buses, the Bio bus produces 20-30% less carbon dioxide, 80% fewer nitrogen oxides and is low in particulates.〔 One tank of the gas will power the bus for ; however this means that the bus has to make a significant journey to refuel, making it less economic to run.〔〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/bristol_bath/travel_news/news_initiatives/?item=26131 )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.airqualitynews.com/2015/03/20/bristol-poo-bus-launched-to-boost-urban-air-quality/ )〕 ==References== 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Bio bus」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
